The Jews first settled in the town of Belzyce at the beginning of the 16th century.

The Jews from Belzyce suffered severe hardships during the pogroms massacres in the years 1648 & 1649 of the Chmieinicki uprising.

In May and September 1942 part of the Ghetto inhabitants was sent to the exterminations camp in Majdanek, and in October that year to the immediate extermination camp in Sobibor.
On October 2, 1942 the Nazis shot 150 Jews.
During the liquidation of the ghetto the Nazis murdered 700 women and 150 children. Sent 250 women and 350 men to the labor camp in Budzyn-Krasnik.
